The appearance of the cuts is clearly visible with the air assist turned on. Note that this material was the 5.2mm plywood - which is likely thicker than this cutter would normally be able to deal with. One area of improvement would be the instructions. They are difficult to read/decipher due to small print and poor translation to English.

So I got away from this design totally but ordered the A30130 30w square beam output of 7.5 watts and focusable lens for beam and a smaller beam square than the N40630 figuring it should give sharper images and manage the diode cooling much better.

Overall a complete kit, the web site is just as bad. Come on Comgrow you can do much better then this, Redo your manual and add more about the setup and use on your website. The ad claims it can cut 12mm thick plywood but the instructions say only 5mm, Just beware if you buy it this kit it is not really plug and play. Update 8/25/21
The good cheap laser cutters lie between $250-$400. The biggest potential flaw of a cheap machine is that some of the components may also be cheap. In this case, you could end up replacing a lot of parts and the manual may not be much help if there is missing information or if the machine is made in a foreign country and the translation is poor.
Overall, this machine is quite useful to do some engraving on wood on a budget. However, it can in no way be compared with true high power diode lasers, such as the 10W model from Endurance, that can easily cut plywood up to 5mm.
