To be honest, I rarely build up wings with ribs because I have a CNC foam cutter that uses airfoil cut files created with Tile Print. I draw my plans in Turbocad and print them with Tile Print, and then cut them by hand. I usually build using stick bulkheads, because they're stronger and take up less space.

Make a copy of the parts sheet, cut out the ribs, formers, or other printwood pieces, and then lightly glue these paper patterns directly to the balsa sheet. I use regular UHU, but 3M makes a restickable glue stick that would probably work too. You can then cut around the parts and sand right up to the outline.

Using the templates juggle them around to get the maximum number of ribs from a sheet by interleaving them. Cut out all the rib blanks and a few spares using the oversize template and a scalpel. Only a rough cut will do because its well over size. Sometimes it’s easier to cut rectangular blanks, it depends on how much wastage it produces.

Down-cut bits seem to help a little on thin balsa sheets too. A little depends on the feed rate and speeds. Some wood and some bits like a climb cut, some don't. I've cut sheets of ribs on 1/16" or 3/32" balsa and although the wood quality seems to be fairly consistent, most sheets cut perfectly while the occasional sheet won't.

Bare. I make a rib (template) out of Formica laminate (almost free) 2 if the wing is to be constant chord, one smaller if a tapered chord. Cut a bunch of pieces (number of ribs required in total) of appropriate sized balsa. Bolt between the two templates. Sand the balsa down to the templates rasp/file/coarse sandpaper etc.
Once the first wing rib is cut put double sided tape on to the back of it and then stick it on to another piece of 1/16" balsa and cut out another rib, this will yield both the right and left rib. With the ribs for both wings still stuck together and with the template still attached sand the ribs to the innermost line on the template.
Amazingly to cut the aluminum I use the same bits as I use to cut the balsa. Because they're made of solid tungsten carbide, they're strong enough to even cut steel! (Though unfortunately the rest of my machine is not.)
