The second part is illuminating the precise aiming point right on the reticle of the scope itself. No counting, no guessing, no thinking is required as the aimpoint is an orange dot on the reticle that cannot be obscured against a dark background.
The Eliminator significantly increases your effectiveness as a hunter and the distance at which you can ethically take game. The built-in laser rangefinder is now capable of ranging out to 2,000 yards. Trajectory compensation is accurate at any magnification, and the integrated inclinometer compensates for shots at any uphill or downhill angle.
Burris has refined the equipment in the new Eliminator III 4-16x50. The X96 reticle works at any magnification out to 1,200 yards on reflective targets. Unlike Eliminator III, Burris has dramatically improved the technology in the Eliminator IV series. It ranges longer and provides accurate holdover over 1,300 yards. The Burris Eliminator IV 4-16x50mm laserscope is a great bargain for versatility. I hope this review is useful for anyone thinking about buying one of these gadgets. Review, Scope
I have to admit I was very skeptical about how well the Burris Eliminator III scope would function. But my skepticism was quickly replaced by amazement. From 100 yards to 1166 yards, the scope, laser and trajectory of the bullet were mapped precisely, and in a fraction of the time it takes to range, dope and shoot my regular guns.
